My parents were very fortunate in life to have a steady income while they raised their family. That's not always the case, and it's often no one's fault. I see that clearly as I spend time with people from various backgrounds and discuss their circumstances and life stories. So as fortunate as my parents were, I'm deeply grateful they shared what they had with their kids. They gave me plenty of Legos, toy castles, die-cast model cars, and Playmobil. I loved all of it, but there was something about Playmobil's look and feel that I really connected with. I think I found their faces to be a little more approachable than Legos’, and they definitely had more 3D details to their outfits. Also, Lego didn't make the same amount of female characters as male. Playmobil, on the other hand, was very gender equal.

I’ve lately been looking at my Playmobil collection. It's been fun to see my niece and nephews enjoy them too as I share them, and they agree with me that the older designs were much better than the current ones. So, if anyone at Playmobil comes across this, I'd be happy to offer my design advice. ◡̈

Seeing those friendly, innocent, and simple smiles made me want to do something artistic with them. Then I thought, you know, I think ChatGPT could probably turn my real-life fashion designs into Playmobil characters. With just one line of text and a picture of a model wearing a dress I made, ChatGPT created just what I envisioned. Some of the designs didn't look so good in "toy form," so I chose only these to feature. I also made sure their hair, makeup, and accessories looked as close as possible to how they did on the live models when the fashions were first presented.
